The search engines are looking for fresh, unique content, that is added at regularly, at least two to three times a week. Content is a part of their algorithms now, to figure your page rankings. I think they also are looking for websites that are active, by adding new content, you are showing
that the website is active.
Writing content is not hard to do, but a lot of people don’t want to write articles. You don’t have to write a book, it only needs to be 300-500 words. Once you starting writing, you will see that your reach that count relatively quickly.
There are a lot of Internet marketers that have been in business for many years, that are starting to see the importance of writing content. So, this is why you should start writing content as soon as possible.

Also, check for magazines online. Most magazines have a digital version now. Just search in your niche.

Videos are fast becoming the number one type of online content. Visit online video sites, such as YouTube, and check out the most popular videos in your niche.
Newsletters
I love to spy on Internet marketers who are operating in my niche. It gives me an idea on the sort of content they are writing for their subscribers. There’s nothing wrong in doing this either. I’m not saying take their content and copy it, I’m saying, use it to come up with ideas and research particular areas.
Forums
The best content, addresses peoples needs and problems, so check out forums in your niche, to find out what questions and issues people are having – then create content to address them.
Niche blogs
Keep a regular check on the blogs in your niche, again have a read of the content they are providing. Check out the most popular posts, you can usually tell which they are since they will have lots of comments, and then rewrite the post with your own spin and some extra research.

By writing lots of content, you will brand yourself as an expert in your niche. Then when people are having a problem, they will look to you for their answers, by coming back to your website.
