Work from Home Ideas – How to Write Great Articles

If you are just starting a work from home business, or have had an Internet home business for a while, you will need to write content. This could be in the form of writing articles for your business blog or for article directories. The reason content is so important, is because the major search engines are  making it part of their search algorithms for page rankings.

You must publish content on a regular basis, at lest 3-4 time a week. The more articles you write the better, not only for rankings, but to establish yourself as an expert in your niche.

Article marketing is a great way to generate traffic to your website. A good article should entice the reader into wanting to know more about you and your products. It should establish that you are an expert in your field and that you are someone who is trustworthy.

What makes a great article?

Information

At the heart of every article, is the information contained within it. You need to find educational information, that people will truly find useful.  Learn enough about this information, so as to appear as an authority source. This may require a large amount of research, if you are not that familiar with the niche.

Structure

A great article will be easy to read. Write in short paragraphs, avoid masses of continuous text, as this is a big turn off.

You should make use of bullet points and section headings, so that it encourages people to read it.  This makes it easy for them to find the information and process it.

Style

The core information is very important, but it is also essential that people actually enjoy reading your article. Your article should have entertainment value.

A great way of drawing interest to your article, is to a tell personal story. This also adds credibility to your article, because people can then see that you have actual experienced it.

Writer’s Resource Box

If you are writing an article for an article directory, at the bottom of the article is a writer’s resource box. Use this box to give more information about yourself and your product. You want people to click through to your website or sign up to your Newsletter. Tell them about your experience in the niche.
Don’t make a sales pitch, rather make it seem like you are someone who is passionate about their niche and enjoys writing on the subject.

As work from home business owner, we need to take advantage of writing articles. It helps to get better ranking for our website and establish us as an expert in our niche. It is also a way to get free traffic to our website. Article writing really is not that hard to do. Plus, the more you articles you write, the faster you will be able to write articles and the easier it gets.
